Fire plays an essential role in restoring the grasslands like temperate grassland and at the same time offers various advantages to both the people and nature. In a grassland ecosystem, fire holds an essential part and plays an essential role in sustaining the vigor and health of the native grasslands. Fire helps in warming the soil that diminishes the litter of leaves that get gathered every year, thus, permitting penetration of more sunlight within the soil.  

This penetration helps in stimulating the microbes present within the soil and discharges nutrients by acting on the decayed plant components, which is used for the growth of novel flowers and grasses.
