Why do you think scientists want to be able to forecast space weather?

Scientists would most likely want to forecast space weather in order to know if it is safe for not only to lift off into outer space, but to be able to help astronauts in any case of emergency if something were to happen in the future.

Such as debris of small rocks that could pass by, so then astronauts would have to stay in the shuttle. To be protected from it.

In any case, scientists want to forecast the weather in outer space in order to protect astronauts, from any incoming dangers.
