The same species of guppy (a fish) lives in two different ponds. In pond A, there is a species of pike (also a type of
fish) that eats the guppies, the smaller, browner guppies in this pond survive because they aren't eaten. In pond B,
dragonfly larvae eat the smallest guppies, so only large guppies survive. After many generations, all the guppies in
pond A are small and brown, while all the guppies in pond B are big and colorful. Which population of guppies has a
higher fitness? Is either population of guppy more fit than the other? Explain your answer.
