How have scientific advancements been both beneficial and disadvantageous to society?

For the benefits we have had improvements in communication and transportation which has caused an increase in economic growth.

For the disadvantages this causes (urbanization) will allows people to live in urban areas.

They have totally improve the economic growth, and not only that, but also they made transportation and also communication better. We also have (medical) technology that can help sick ones and people who need help in these aspect's.

But now, the bad side or the (disadvantage) side on this aspect would be of that this causes (urbanization) will allows people to live in urban areas. And also, this technology would be very dangerous to use, (depending) what you're using of course. But this can be seriously hazardous to people, so tis would really be the bad side to this.
