On an average day, how many earthquakes take place around the world? How many large earthquakes take place?

The National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) records an average of 20,000 earthquakes every year (about 50 a day) around the world.

for  example, forests have higher evapotranspiration than other ecosystems,  such  as grasslands, because of their deeper roots and greater leaf area. thus forests have a net moistening effect on the atmosphere and become a moisture source for downwind ecosystems.
