Producer- are organisms capable of creating simple carbohydrates such as glucose, from gaseous carbon dioxide. This process of producing organic molecules from inorganic carbon sources is called primary production.

In simple terms, they don't need to  eat other organisms to survive. They create or produce there own food. Trees are the most recognizable example. They use photosynthesis in order to survive.

Scavenger-A scavenger is an organism that mostly consumes decaying biomass, such as meat or rotting plant material.

Some examples are blue catfish, vultures, racoons, opossums, etc.

Decomposers-decomposes, or breaks down, organic material such as the remains of dead organisms.

If you leave a a dead animal outside for long periods of time you may notice maggots, flies and even the occasional mushroom in some cases. These are all examples of decomposers.

Carnivore-An animal or plant that requires a staple diet consisting mainly or exclusively of animal tissue through predation or scavenging.

Simple terms: If you eat only meat to survive you are usually considered a carnivore.

Examples: lions, tigers, sharks, and snakes

Ominvore- animals that include both plant and animal matter in their normal diet.

We are omnivores because if we needed to we could survive on both plants and meat .

Herbivore-An animal that consumes herbaceous vegetation

Examples: cows, deer, rabbit, zebras
