Claire's symptoms suggest that lately, she is not enjoying her work which she was very fond of due to her poor eyesight. She is tearful while reading, she is afraid of her role as a mother for their kids in the future, she is worried for her mother. She can not sleep without sleeping pills. she put 30 pounds as she is not active and watches television or the internet all-day.

Metabolism is the process that maintains the body and cell of an organism by involving various chemical reaction that helps in extracting, storing, and utilizing the energy. Homeostasis and metabolism are related to one another as metabolism is required to maintain homeostasis and homeostasis are required for efficient metabolism.
