Paramecium is a unicellular, eukaryotic aquatic protist. Due to its shape similar to bathroom slipper, it is referred to  slipper-shaped organism. Its body is covered with short hair like structures called cilia. Each paramecium possesses two types of nuclei, micronucleus and macronucleus.
