The Sun is the star at the center of the Solar System. It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma, It is incandescent (So hot it becomes white glowing and starts emitting electromagnetic radiations, as a result of high temperature). The heat is a result of nuclear fission radiating energy in the form of mostly light.

A Planet is a body orbiting around a sun. Planets are smaller than stars, and they do not produce light and they have sufficient amount of mass to produce self gravity.

We could understand sun and planet with the example of an atom. Atom has nucleus and electrons, electrons orbit around the nucleus in energy level. Just like that, Sun is like a nucleus and planets are electrons orbiting around planet in energy levels which called orbits.
Some Planets are orbiting closer around the sun and some are far from the sun in their respective energy orbits. Those electron which orbit in closer energy level are attracted by the nucleus with greater gravitational pull(force). Just like the electrons, the planets which are close to sun are attracted by the sun with grater force and those which are far from it, are attracted with weaker force.
Gravitational pull is a force of attraction between each and every body of mass in the universe. Greater mass body attracts the body with lesser mass. As the star has the greater mass than planets so it attracts the planet towards itself with the gravitational pull

The distance of Planet Y and Planet X from the sun is given as,
PLANET Y: 1 Astronomical Unit(AU)
PLANET X: 0.39 Astronomical Unit(AU)
As we could see that Planet X is closer to the sun and Planet Y is far from the sun, thus Planet X will be attracted with greater force than the Planet Y.
the stronger the Sun's gravitational pull on it, the faster will the planet move. Far the planet is from the Sun, the weaker is the Sun's gravitational pull, and the slower it moves in its orbit. As Planet Y is far from sun it moves at slower speed.
