A group of students from Mississippi take a field trip to a garden, which is maintained by the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR). The garden has 1,500 species of plants from all over the world. Each plant’s seeds are researched to determine their range of use for medicines, food, textiles, and other products. The students list the potential benefits of the research in a table.
