Which feature do prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells share

The cells of all prokaryotes and eukaryotes hold two basic characteristics: a plasma membrane also described as a cell membrane, and cytoplasm.

The cells of prokaryotes are simpler than cells of eukaryotes. For instance, prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus, while eukaryotic cells have a nucleus.

The component of the cell associated to as cytoplasm is somewhat complex in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. In eukaryotic cells, which possess a nucleus, the cytoplasm is within the plasma layer and the nuclear cover. In prokaryotes, which lack a nucleus, cytoplasm solely means everything found inside the cell membrane.

unicellular organisms, like bacteria, are able to perform all life functions within one single cell. multicellular organisms need many different types of cells to carry out the same life processes. each of these special types of cells has a different structure that it perform a specific function.
