As a bearded dragon owner i have a obvious bias. The cage, lighting, and food are expensive along with having to adapt to raising the bugs to feed them. I was scared of the dubia roaches for awile. But there is a bright side lol. If you get them from a breeder they are relitively easy to start caring for with advice from the breeder. If you get one from a pet store it is a totally different experience. Most stores abuse their dragons causing them to have trust issues and be undernourished. My dragon took months to build trust. While they are babies they are very hungry you give them bugs every day. DO NOT GIVE THEM WORMS. They can cause impaction and the dragon can die. Turns out as they get older they get greens and other bearded dragon approved veggies and bugs once a week. In winter they hibernate and need to have a special hide to get comfy in. If you are thinking of getting a dragon please please please do more research beforehand. Sorry for rambling lol.
