When a person's physical or emotional state changes, breathing changes right along with it. And interestingly enough, a change in breathing patterns also affects your emotions. Try this little demonstration. Sit erect, raise your shoulders and collarbone, and lean forward. Now try to inhale. Feels a little scary, huh? The connection between breathing and emotions is no big secret. It's been known for thousands of years and is being rediscovered every day in medical and psychology labs all over the world.
