White blood cells or leukocytes are known to be the cells found in the immune system and is mainly involved in protecting the body against pathogens and diseases. Monocytes are responsible for defending the body against the infections like fungal and bacterial infections, neutrophils is known to be the first line of defense against the infection.  

Homeostasis is the process of avoiding and inhibiting bleeding. This means to keep the blood inside a damaged blood vessel. There are 3 stages, namely, vasoconstriction, temporary blockage, and coagulation.  

1.Vasoconstriction: is released by vascular smooth muscle cells and is known to be the blood vessel’s first response to an injury. The damaged vessels vasoconstricts and this lowers the amount of blood flow via the area and also aids in reducing the amount of blood loss.

2.Platelet plug formation: Platelet attaches to the damaged layer and forms a plug and then degranulates. This entire process is regulated via thrombo-regulation.

3.Coagulation: refers to clotting of the blood. It refers to the process wherein the blood alters from the liquid to the gel and this forms a blood clot. This usually occurs as a result of homeostasis process which refers to the cessation of the blood loss from the vessel that is damaged. The clotting is achieved by clotting factors.
