Enchanted Rock, a large granite dome found in Central Texas, is host to thousands of visitors every year. It is a geological phenomenon of monumental proportions known as a “batholith,” one created a billion years ago when molten magma cooled and crystallized into granite under layers of rock far beneath the Earth's surface. The granite dome is now exposed to the Earth’s surface and is affected by wind, water and human traffic, altering the shape and size of the landform. Below is a topographic map of Enchanted Rock. a) Predict how the landform will be reshaped by weathering and erosion.
