A geologist is exploring the Grand Canyon and as she walks down the trails towards the canyon floor she notices the many layers of rock in the canyon walls
as seen in the picture below. What major type of rock is she seeing and what are
the processes involved in that rock forming as well as her being able to see it
from within the canyon? (Consider the parts and processes of the rock cycle,
water cycle, and geologic time as you do your response).
