A local farmer has 14 milk cows. Instead of breeding the cows in order to produce milk, he wanted to try a supplement that could prolong milk production for up to 6 months after calves were weaned from their mothers. First, the farmer determined how much of the supplement to add to the cows feed, how often, and when to begin the supplements. The farmer guessed that the supplements would increase milk productivity by about 10%. He was currently getting 150 gallons of milk per day, and thought this could bring him up to 165 gallons a day. All of his milk cows were given the same amount of supplements. After 1 week, the total milk produced was 150 gallons. After 2 weeks the total milk produced was 150 gallons. After 3 weeks the total milk produced was 140 gallons. After 4 weeks the total milk produced was 130 gallons. After 5 weeks the total milk produced was 126 gallons. 22. What is the farmer doing wrong in this experiment
