Now conduct the experiment. Tightly secure the plastic wrap around the top of the mixing bowl over the hot water. Place the ice cubes on top of the plastic wrap above the cup. For the next 10 to 15 minutes, record the changes that occur on the plastic wrap and inside the bowl. Then remove the plastic wrap and look inside the cup. Write down your observations.
