The original population of brown spotted deer declined drastically after their forest habitat was flooded. after frantic efforts over three decades by the forest authorities to revive the dwindling population, it did bounce back. now the deer population is as huge as it was three decades ago, but it shows a decreased amount of genetic variations. which factor could be responsible for this microevolution?

It could be the population of the deer their could be to many deer or their isn't enough bees around to pollinate the plants that they eat or their is other animals eating them as well like a rabbit or another herbivore.or they just ain't repopulating like i said their might not be enough beers or other animals could be eating them. but a solution could be for the DNR or forest authorities could plant more food sources
