PL HELPP Many organisms have unusual behaviors or characteristics when compared to similar organisms. For example, spiders are known for being almost completely carnivorous. They’ve evolved to have fangs and venom to help them catch and paralyze prey. However, scientists have recently discovered one unusual species of spider that eats an almost completely vegetarian diet.
Think of an organism you’ve heard of or read about that has a surprisingly unusual trait or behavior. How is this trait or behavior different from similar organisms? How does it help the organism survive in its environment?

The behavious is different as the spider has a completely different mode on nutrition. This helps it survive in its environment as it avoids competition with other spiders which enable it to have more food.

A few summers ago my family and I moved into our house. It was really nice but our favorite part was the land it came with. There were two ponds on the land that we dug by the previous owners 15 years beforehand. Sense the property hadn't been taken care of for over 3 years (the family moved out), we had a lot of work to do. I was in charge of getting all the plants and catail out that had grown there. While I was pulling all the dead plants and guck out I acedentaly pulled out along with it, a baby aligator snapping turtle. I am very lucky it didn't bite me becase I didn't notice it at first. I was able to capture it and put it in a 20 gallon fish tank for a few days. We let it go in a nearby stream. We found out a lot about it while we had it though. It's shell is very rough and hard makiing it stronger than most turtles. It had aligator like skin (hence the name). They have also been called the "Dinosour of the Turtle World" because of their dinosour like tail. Unlike other turtles they cannot protect themselves by pulling their arms, legs, and head into their shell. Despite this they are still one of the most dangerous types of turtles in the world. When they are fully grown their only known predetor is humans.
