As Ben approached and began his retirement he planned a variety of projects and activities. He increased his volunteer work as a mentor,
went on trips with his wife, and helped his son and grandson build an
entertainment center for their family room. He has also become an
officer of the rotary club. When asked if he missed the authority and
status of his job he said he felt he was doing the best and most
important work he had ever done and was really enjoying it. Ben
