Why are Wind Turbines being moved offshore?

Wind turbines are being moved offshore because the wind comes at the right time: Offshore winds are usually higher throughout the day, allowing for more reliable and productive electricity output when market demand is highest. The majority of land-based wind resources are more efficient at night when demand for electricity is smaller.
