How can a mutation in dna affect an organism?

Mutations affect organisms in two different ways. Genetic mutations are inherited DNA changes that can be passed on to the next generation. Somatic mutations are DNA changes that are acquired after birth. Mutations can be helpful, harmful or make no difference at all. 

Well, both latitude and intensity of light affect temperature because, the higher the light intensity, the higher the temperature and since latitude is the measure of how close you are to the equator, then the closer to the equator you are, the higher the temperature is.
