1.) how is it possible to have thousands of proteins but only 20 amino acids
2.)why arent lipids considered polymers\
3.)why is it easy to tell lipids and carbohydrates apart when viewing a model for each even though they are made from the same elements

1. You can have an infinite amount of proteins from only a few amino acids, it would be all in the way they are tied together.

2. Lipids are not considered polymers because the base units of lipid are not considered monomers
