Explanation:

Radiosonde: Instrument which is carried by a balloon through the atmosphere, which is attached with devices to measure one or several meteorological variables that is the pressure, temperature, humidity, etc, and it is provided with a radio transmitter for sending this information from the atmosphere to the observing station.

It is not necessary that radiosonde has to be  attached to a balloon it can even fixed to a slow moving pilot less aircraft, or the instrument itself can be designed in such a way  to be dropped from an aircraft or rocket.

This instrument can be used to measure only up-to a height of about 35km from the ground level
