The process of fossilization there is a process called replacement in which the minerals which is present in the ground water replaces the minerals that makes up the body of the fossils.

After this the water completely dissolves the original hard part of the body of an organism. The fossils are also formed by the mold and casts. If the molds and casts gets filled with some other minerals.
