Well a earthworms are tube shaped, some worms such as segmented worms can be found in soil.They are there to stay moist and to feed on organic matter.

So an earthworm's digestive tract is laid out straight from the oral orifice to the anus. The parts of the digestive tract regulate or absorb the nutrients from every meal.
