Muscles are responsible for generating force which is then transferred by the tendons to the bones.

Bones under the impact of this force starts moving if this force is greater enough to overcome the following forces -

a) Weight of the moving body part

b) gravity,

c) Any other external resistance.

Cord-like tendons are attached to the bones of the legs, arms, and face. These are known as Skeletal muscles which are made up of fibers. Fibres hold the skeleton together and provides shape to the body and also help in voluntary movements. These muscles also helps in contraction and expansion of joint bones.
