A wastewater can be define as the water which is contaminated with pollutants coming from the source of sewage drainage, agricultural irrigational drainage, industrial discharge.

The wastewater can be cleaned and purified by the reclamation process. The process requires technology, which could be expensive, time consuming, skill and labor. This can be the reason why some communities might be opposed to treating wastewater.
