Only the internal energy is a state function where it means that it does not follow a specific path to arrive at a certain number. Whereas the work and heat are not state functions and they follow a specific path or process in order to arrive at a certain number. Q = U + W
2,380 J = U + 12,900 J

Are you asking about a street map usage  if so here is your answer  a street map for a very limited area could simply be a bit map or a .jpg image.  but a more general map would probably store the streets as vectors.  but you shouldn't assume that there is one way to do it
