The blind spot is located in the area of the retina

The blind spot is located in the optic plate area of the retina. It is like a path, and its location differs in two eyes.

Explanation:

Blindspot is the area there are no light-sensitive cells present. In the retinal the optic nerves are present. It consists of 2 types of cells rod cells and con cells. These cells are responsible for distinguishing the color and visible in the dark.

The information of the eye carried by the nerves to the brain. Then the optic lobe forms the image of the object in the brain. The blind spot is the area where no such sensitivity happens.  

When the light rays fall on the blind spot, our brain can't make any image. It acts as a path in which the nerve cells connect with the brain. This is present in the optic disc of the retina.

The blind spot location is different in two eyes. Therefore it is also called we are partially blind.
