It can also expose your lungs to toxic metals like nickels, lead, chromium, tin, and aluminum. Nicotine changes the way your brain works so as a teen your brain is still developing and that can make it where you're more vulnerable to nicotine addiction. You inhale 3 chemicals when you vape. When addicted to vaping you can get popcorn lung and the effects are, coughing, wheezing, chest pain, shortness of breath. It also can affect your memory. 1. Diacetyl: This food additive, used to make the flavor, will damage small passageways in the lungs. It's also a compound found in foods and additives used for dairy flavoring. It's found in brown flavors, such as caramel, butterscotch, and other sweeteners. 2. Formaldehyde: This can cause lung disease and contribute to heart disease. It's a colorless, strong-smelling gas used in making building materials and many household products. It is also used in pressed-wood products, like particle board, plywood, and fiber board. 3. Acrolein: It's most often used as a weed killer, this can also damage lungs. It's a colorless liquid with a piercing, acrid smell. The smell of burnt fat. Vaping has some effects like tobacco as in picking at your face so much it leaves scars. It also gives you mood swings. Vaping can lead to other addictions in life. You will feel more anxious than usual. It can also lead to cancer, diabetes, eye problems, sickness, gum infection and disease, heart problems, impotence, infertility, lung disease, pregnancy complications. If you're athletic it would be harder to do your sport because you would lose breath faster and you wouldn't be able to do it for a long time. So if you play sports and you vape you will have to quit your sport or quit vaping. It also makes you depressed (more) because of the brain damage you're causing .
