The ability of a microorganism to tolerate the effects of an antibiotic is known as antibiotic resistance. It's a certain kind of drug resistance. Antibiotic resistance develops naturally through random mutation, but it can also be engineered by putting a population under evolutionary stress. Bacteria will then transmit genetic information in a hominid-like manner once such a gene has been formed. Following the development of such a gene, bacteria may use plasmid exchange to transfer genetic information horizontally (between individuals). Multiresistant bacteria, also known as superbugs, carry several resistance genes. the reasons for it Transformation protocols can also be used to incorporate antibiotic resistance into a microorganism.
