Task: Backyard Conservation Project
Perform offline or online research to learn about different backyard conservation ideas and
ways to execute them. Choose an idea that you can implement with the resources available
to you. Execute this idea and write a report summing up your backyard conservation
experience. Include a felv pictures of your project in your report.
Note: You may spend some time (a few minutes to an hour) to think of or research backyard
conservation ideas and choose one that suits you. Then, you may need about 2–5 hours in
the initial stage of this program (for example, if you're putting a backyard pond, you'll need to
choose a location, decide the shape, dig the soil, and so on). Once your backyard ecosystem
is ready, you may need to spend a few minutes everyday on its upkeep by adding fish to your
pond or landscaping the area around the pond and other similar activities. You can write the
report after 2-4 weeks, when your ecosystem is established.
