Explanation:

In plants like Gloriosa superba, The leaf tips get elongated and become tendrils. In some plants like Lathyrus aphaca, the entire leaf gets modified into a tendril and the stipules expand to carry out the function of a leaf.

Xerophytes are plants that has adapted to survive in places like deserts with low water availability. In xerophyte plants, some leaves are modified into spines. This modification helps plant prevent water loss by transpiration by minimizing the surface area. In addition, it defends plants against herbivores animals. Apart from modification into spines, leaves are modified into other different organs as well. For example, tendrils are modified leaves modified which provides support.

Hence, some xerophytes leaves are modified into spines.

what is remarkable, when you reassemble all the continents together, the ancient mountain ranges (many now eroded to their cores) and the location of rock types and fossils all match up.

there are mainly three domains in biological classification namely; archaea, bacteria, and eukarya.

archaea includes all the prokaryotic cells which are characterized by their lipid membranes. they have branched hydrocarbon which is attached to glycerol through an ether linkage.

bacteria includes all the prokaryotic cells, the cell membrane of which are made up of the unbranched fatty acid chain. in addition, they are attached to glycerol through an ester bond.

eukarya includes all the eukaryotic cells, that is, the cells contain a nucleus and other membrane-bound cell organelles.

they can be autotrophic as well as heterotrophic, unicellular as well as multicellular

they include kingdoms like protista, plantae, animalia, fungi et cetera.
