Read this passage and think about how to summarize it. Circus dogs have been trained to do everything from walking on their hind legs in human costume to jumping over hurdles while carrying monkeys on their backs and even performing magic tricks with cards. These tricks make dogs seem incredibly smart. In fact, audiences often think that circus dogs are reading the minds of their trainers. In reality, though, the trainers just give the dogs really small signals that are difficult for audiences to see or hear. The dogs have been trained to react to those slight signals in specific ways.

Which answer gives the best summary of the passage?
Audiences often think that circus dogs are even smarter than they are. An audience may think that a dog is reading its trainer’s mind or performing a magic trick when actually the dog is reacting to “slight signals” that the audience doesn’t notice.
When circus dogs perform, they make dogs seem like the smartest species of animal. They probably are the smartest since they are able to behave like other animals—humans or horses, for instance.
Circus dogs are trained to do many crazy things that dogs don’t normally do, such as imitate humans or allow other animals to ride on their backs while jumping over hurdles.

What best explains whether bromine (br) or neon (ne) is more likely to form a covalent bond? bromine forms covalent bonds because it has seven valence electrons, but neon has eight valence electrons and already fulfills the octet rule. bromine forms covalent bonds because it has many electron shells, but neon has only two electron shells and is tightly bound to its electrons. neon forms covalent bonds because it can share its valence electrons, but bromine has seven valence electrons and can gain only one more electron. neon forms covalent bonds because it has only two electron shells, but bromine has many electron shells and will lose electrons in order to fulfill the octet rule.
