The cellular proteins help during the method of cell division by helping with the progress of moving forward into the other phases of cell division. One method of cell division is the bacterial cell division also known as binary fission. This type of division does not happen through mitosis or meiosis but through a method known as septation, which is when a septum grows from the side of the cell into the cell and performs the separation of the daughter cells while protein and RNA production is still occurring. Multiple sorts of proteins assist in this method, such as the FtsZ protein that leads the growth of the septum, or the penicillin binding protein that assist in the production of peptidoglycan..etc, the process of septation is heavily dependent on the cellular proteins or protein complex referred to as divisome.
