Why are we so concerned about the loss of rainforest? What do rainforests supply, both locally and globally, that are so essential to sustaining life on this planet?

Rainforests provide us with plenty of trees and without trees there is no reducing carbon dioxide. If there were no trees, humans and animals will be taking up all the oxygen and making carbon dioxide and there is nothing to change that carbon dioxide . Humans and animals NEED oxygen to survive so if the earth is filled with carbon dioxide, every animal and human will die. Therefore, breaking the food chain. And in the end, everything will die.
