In areas that receive a lot of snow salt is spread on the roads. In some areas high salt concentrations can build in the soil. Water moves out of the roots of the plant due to osmosis and the plant will wilt and sometimes die. What do you think would happen if you added a large volume of fresh water to the roots of the plant? Answer in terms of osmosis and salt and water concentration. Would water move into the plant, out of the plant, or stay where it is? Explain why
