What is photosynthesis

photosynthesis is a process performed by green plants and some micro organisms (like algae) to prepare their food (Glucose) by using simple substances from the Environment, that is Water (absorbed through roots from soil), CO2 (carbon dioxide absorbed from atmosphere through stomata) and sunlight (absorbed through green pigments known as Chlorophyll)

the process goes like :

Energy absorbed through sunlight is used to break water molecules and so, solar energy is converted into chemical energy and then Carbon dioxide is reduced to form Glucose.
