Explanation: As we all know from the popular cell theory cells come from pre-existing cells, but what does this mean? Scientists once thought that life spontaneously arose from nonliving things. Thanks to experimentation and the invention of the microscope, it is now known that life comes from preexisting life and that cells come from preexisting cells. Cells must divide or be reproduced by other cells. A cell can't be made any other way. At least to our current understanding that is that is why it is part of the cell theory not cell law.
