Please explain the uniqueness of: Prophase I; Metaphase I; Anaphase I; and Telophase I.

Like mitosis, meiosis also has distinct stages called prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. A key difference, however, is that during meiosis, each of these phases occurs twice — once during the first round of division, called meiosis I, and again during the second round of division, called meiosis II.

foliation forms in a rock when pressure squeezes the rock together. the rock then has a design of many different color little lines. there are three types of foliated rock. the types are slate, schist, and gneiss. each type of foliated rock is different based on grain size and foliation characteristics. the lines appear when the rock has been under pressure.
