Which elements are most abundant in living organisms

Living organisms composed of many of the chemical elements, but most abundant elements include: hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus and calcium.

Oxygen: It is the most abundant element in living organisms composing of 65% of the human body. Oxygen present in the body in the form of water which is used to generate energy.

Carbon: It is readily bound with other elements so it is needed for complex structure and function.

Hydrogen: It is the simplest structure which form bond with oxygen and form the water, which is the most crucial component for the most living organisms on earth.

Nitrogen: It is composing 80% of the air and earth. It is very important element in plant life, because nitrogen is readily absorbed and used by plant.

Sulfur: It is major component of 2 amino acids cysteine and methionine used by living organisms.

Phosphorus: It is the main element of the cell membrane which helping in the formation of phospholipids.  

humans are now responsible for causing changes in the environment that hurt animals and plant species. we take up more space on earth for our homes and cities. we pollute habitats. human activity often changes or destroys the habitats that plants and animals need to survive.
