Open system: It refers to the system which freely exchange mass and energy with its surroundings. For example, boiling soup in an open sauce pan. It exchange energy as well as matter with its surrounding in the form of steam. In addition, humans are also an example of open system as we exchange energy and matter both with our surrounding.

Closed system: It is the system which only allows the exchange of energy (not material) with the surrounding. For example, a cup of coffee with a lid cover on it. It can exchange heat (energy) with the surrounding but not the matter.

Isolated system: It is the system which restricts both the exchange of energy as well as material with the surrounding. For example, any insulated container (thermos flask).  

common management practices in dairy and poultry farming are: (i) proper shelter facilities and their regular cleaning. (ii) some basic hygienic conditions such as clean water, nutritious food, etc. (iii) animals are kept in spacious, airy, and ventilated place.
