Explain why living things store energy in lipids instead of carbohydrates

Storing energy as a fat allows the energy to be conserved long-term. The organism can store a large amount of energy while being insulated.

Iwould say overuse ( but not 100% sure ) in the u.s. we tend to overuse water by leaving it running, throwing it away, taking long showers, etc.
