Explanation:

In every species of organisms, each gene occurs at a certain location on the chromosome. This location is called Loci (Locus- sing). The gene on each Loci are found in two variant copies called ALLELES. Within an interbreeding population, each of its member receives these variant form of genes (alleles) from one member (parents) and transfers it to another (offsprings). The sum total of all these alleles at the loci of genes within an interbreeding population is called GENE POOL.

For instance, our gene pool as humans is composed of every variant gene (allele) in our DNA.
