Which best compares and contrasts red blood cells and white blood cells?

The red blood cells transport oxygen, while the white blood cells safeguard the body against the diseases. The erythrocytes or the red blood cells refer to the unique cells present in the blood that moves via the body delivering nutrients and oxygen to the different tissues and cells. They are produced from the stem cells present in the bone marrow.  

The leukocytes also are known as the white blood cells mainly take part in the immune response to determine and target pathogens like invading viruses, bacteria, and other foreign species.
