Cells are basically the building blocks of all living things. There are actually trillions of cells in the human body!
They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions.

A cell is the SMALLEST STRUCTURAL and FUNCTIONAL unit of an organism.
It consists of cytoplasm and a nucleus enclosed in a membrane. It's typically microscopic! Also, microscopic organisms usually consist of a single cell, which is either, eukaryotic or prokaryotic.
