Suppose chromosomes in a skin cell are damaged by ultraviolet radiation. if the damaged genes do not effect cell cycle regulation, do you think the cell will become cancerous? explain

An array of events, which occur in a cell resulting in the replication of DNA and division of organelles and cytoplasm to generate two daughter cells is termed as cell cycle. If the destructed genes do not influence the regulation of cell cycle than the cell will not become cancerous.  

As if the cell cycle is normal, then it would go against the description of cancerous cells that it will proliferate uncontrollably and will not follow any rules or will not require a growth factor.
