Am sure after drinking alcoholic beverages, increased urine excretion is the result of inhibited secretion of Antidiuretic hormone (ADH).  ADH is responsible for regulating the amount of water in the blood and is released from the pituitary gland based on signals from the hypothalamus, which detects the water levels of the blood. Alcohol inhibits the pituitary secretion of the ADH, it acts on the hypothalamus/pituitary to reduce the circulating levels of ADH.
